Welcome to the Tanzania, home of the greatest migration on the planet! Millions of wildebeest and herbivores follow the rains through out Tanzania all the way to Kenya in search of food. We will be going in depth and following the migration in one of the most famous parks in all of Africa, Serengeti National Park! This workshop will focus on wildlife photography and our professional guides will put us in the right place to photograph the action that occurs during the migration. February is the wildebeest calving season so we may see a lot of predatory activity as predators follow the herds looking for an easy meal! There will be an incredible amount of wildlife!

Day 1 (February 18  2022) JRO / Arusha Arrive JRO ex TBA.

Meet and drive to Arusha Overnight at Planet Lodge BB Standard Room. Depending on flight times you can arrive on Feb 12 also but this wont be determined until 2021 flight schedules come out, can update more as we go along.

Day 2 (February 19 2022) Arusha / Tarangire

After breakfast drive with lunch boxes, drive to Tarangire National Park for full day game drives. Picnic lunch inside the park. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.

Day 3 (February 20  2022) Ngorogoro Crater

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro (Crater Rim). Lunch at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day 4 (February 21 2022) Ngorogoro Crater

After breakfast drive with lunch boxes to Ngorongoro Crater for full day of game drives. Later drive back to Crater Rim. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day 5 (February 22 2022) Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast drive with lunch boxes to Ngorongoro Crater for full day of game drives. Later drive back to Crater Rim. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day 6  (February 23 2022)  Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive with lunch boxes to Serengeti (Southern part of Serengeti that borders the Ndutu area of Ngorongoro) for game drives. Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp

Day 7 (February 24 2022) Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive to or Serengeti National Park or Ndutu area (WHERE THE GREAT WILDEBEEST MIGRATION WILL BE IN FEBRUARY) Lunch at Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp Afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp LDBB Standard Room

Day 8 (February 25 2022) Serengeti National Park

After breakfast depart for morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park All meals and overnight at Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp LDBB Standard Room

Day 9  (February 26 2022) Serengeti National Park

After breakfast depart for morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park All meals and overnight at Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp LDBB Standard Room

Day 10 (February 27 2022) Serengeti National Park and Departure

After breakfast drive to Serengeti South airstrip for scheduled flight to Arusha departing at 1000hrs Arrive in Arusha at 1210hrs. Meet and drive to town for lunch (on you own expense) Later drive to JRO for departure flight back home

OPTIONAL ACTIVITES

Hot Air Balloon over the migrations for a fantastic aerial perspective. Hot air balloon tours are possible on this trip, it will replace one of your morning game drives but a different perspective is well worth it. Must be booked ahead of time. Cost: $600.00 Per person (based on 2020 pricing, subject to changing in 2021)
